Center of Life helps families in Hazelwood get stronger through workshops and support services. The KRUNK Movement is a free year-round music program for high school students. Teens learn hip-hop songwriting, music production, art, and technology skills. They work on music albums about social justice and health topics. Students get paid $9 per hour while learning professional music industry skills. The program includes field trips and team building activities. Students create music that addresses real-world issues and helps their community.
The Community Engagement program helps Hazelwood residents with crisis support, getting benefits, finding resources, and connecting to services. Staff can help you with basic needs like food and clothing, utility bills, finding jobs, housing help, and mental health support. They also offer wellness workshops and community events. The COL Basketball League is a summer recreational basketball program for teens and adults in the Hazelwood community. Players must be 16 or older to join. The league brings neighbors together for friendly competition and support. Games are played at Lewis Playground during the summer season. This is a great way to stay active, make friends, and be part of your community through sports.
