2Trauma Healing and Mental Health Support ProgramsBeyond Conflict helps people heal from trauma caused by violence, conflict, and displacement. They work in places like Central America, Jordan, and Central Asia to train police, hospital workers, teachers, and community helpers. Their programs teach people how trauma affects the brain and body, and give tools to feel better and seek help. They use storytelling, education, and self-care exercises led by trained peer helpers. The programs help reduce PTSD symptoms, fight mental health stigma, and build stronger communities that can prevent violence.
International Peacebuilding ProgramsBeyond Conflict helps reduce violence and build peace around the world. They work with local communities to understand what causes conflict between different groups of people. They create programs like radio shows and TV dramas to help people get along better. Their work combines research about how the brain works with lessons learned from solving conflicts. They focus on places where religious or ethnic groups fight each other, like in Nigeria where they reached 40 million people through a TV show about peace.
